I like The Lopin in the main line books he’s funny and was one of my favorite characters good comedic relief but also cool. I really really hope we dive deeper into Rysn because in Oathbringer she was cool as all fuck! In here though I lose all interest in her.
That sounds bad, but with the Kaladin moments or Shallan moments there were things happening around them while they dealt with their inner turmoil. There was no action minus the final 30 minutes. It’s just a girl that can’t walk on a boat. So much that it doesn’t even seem like a fantasy book for a majority of it. WHICH makes sense it’s something new for her and how she deals with it etc but I feel it delves WAY to much into it. I LOVE Rysn as a character, but like for 5 hours it’s just her being a cripple. So long in fact I didn’t wanna read and listen to Rhythm of War until I finished this.
